Thanksgiving for the turkeys

I really love this time of year where familes get together to share wonderful food, warm memories, and gratitude for one another.  I especially love sharing it with my three little indians.  They bring me so much joy and happiness, and I'm always impressed by the littlest things that they are the most grateful for.  Why not show your gratitude for them by creating a fun, and entertaining kids table for them to enjoy this year?  These are a few of my favorite, & easy to make ideas:

And for dessert, why not try these tasty, tiny pumpkin pies?  After all, they're the perfect size for your little pumpkins.

Here's how to make these tiny desserts:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Pie Crust:
Using package of ready made pie crust from the grocery store, take a rolling pin and roll it out to desired thickness.  Be sure not to roll it out too thin or your crusts will burn more easily.  After you've rolled out your pie crust, take a 3-inch biscuit cutter and cut dough into round pie shells.  Line muffin tin with cupcake liners.  Gently place pie dough in center, and press out towards the edges of the tin.

Pie Filling:
I took a regular 29 ounce can of pure pumpkin, and followed the directions on the side.  They are as follows:

4 eggs slightly beaten
1 can (29 oz) pumpkin
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cloves

Mix ingredients in the order given, and pour into unbaked pie shells.  Bake 15-20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.  Allow to cool on a cooling rack, top with whipped cream, and enjoy!

What are your thanksgiving plans?

Green with envy

via
Modern Glamourista Kelly Wearstler really can do no wrong in my book.  She's edgy, quirky, and fearless, and that's what I love most about her.  Her design aesthetic is so unique mixing together bright color palettes, bold patterns, classic pieces, and a bit of rock & roll into each space.   My recent favorite from Kelly's glamour file is her design of the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, California.  I am especially obsessed with these gorgeous emerald regency chairs.
It has such great feminine lines, but enough structure that it isn't too fussy.

Aren't they to die for?

If you missed Kelly's One Kings Lane sale earlier this summer, don't fret, these beauties from Munna are a close second.

What do you think?  Do you love them as much as I do?
