Decorating with black and white

When it comes to decorating with black and white, it can be a little intimidating.  Black has long been considered to be one of the most feared colors in decorating, and white can at times be too cold and stark.  Most shy away from using this monochromatic color palette considering it to be too stiff or sterile, or too heavy and overpowering.  However, done right the results can be truly amazing.  Subtracting color shifts the focus directly to the architectural details within a room.  Layer in a touch of color, texture, or a metallic finish for that added wow factor.  These spaces are fresh, sophisticated, dramatic, and dare I say...a little sexy?

Clean and classic, or bold and graphic, this simple palette can have some may-jah impact!
