Hermosa Beach bachelor pad

Have you seen the latest issue of House Beautiful? As I was flipping through the pages I came across this beautiful bachelor pad designed by the talented team of Parrish Chilcoat & Joe Lucas. They incorporated earthy elements, rich color, and classic pattern, keeping the home feeling masculine and casual. I literally love every room in this home.

The home's exterior is a beautiful whitewashed brick with an entry flanked by two lantern fixtures.

The neutral living room feels fresh and relaxed. Love the wood slab coffee table

Tucked away in the corner of the living room is an x-base desk with built in book storage.

The Kitchen is by far my favorite space in the home. I love the industrial stools and pendant fixtures. They painted the cabinets and the island two separate shades of gray to set them apart. The cabinets are Farrow & Ball's Down Pipe, and the island is Benjamin Moore's Chelsea gray. Both are gorgeous.
In the dining room, they used a square mahogany table and tufted leather chairs from hickory chair. The lines are all very masculine.

Powder room. Isn't that pedestal sink gorgeous?

The Master bedroom walls are covered in warm grasscloth, and plenty of light.

Master bath has plenty of natural light, and a deep soaking tub.
Isn't that Kelly Wearstler Katana headboard spectacular? The lamps are from Thomas O'brien.Love the collected shelving and french doors in the guestroom.

The study. A perfect mix of old and new.

The antler's that hang in the hallway are a nod to the homeowner's Canadian roots.

The rec room.
Living room bar. I think the wire bar stools are divine.

The patio stays warm all year round with an outdoor fireplace and overhead heated lanterns.
Poolside Ikea deck chairs and stone slab side table bring the masculinity outdoors.

Designer obsession. Steven Gambrel

Each week I will be featuring a designer who's interiors inspire me. This week I am spotlighting Steven Gambrel. He is hands down one of my all time favorite interior designers who has been featured in numerous publications from Elle Decor to Lonny Magazine. I really love how he incorporates color & texture into his traditional and classic designs creating spaces that feel vibrant, lively, and lived in. He is a master on how to create a room with a little touch of the unexpected. His children's spaces are especially some of my most favorite designs. Lets just allow the pictures do the talking, shall we?
