Room of the week

I have always regarded Kate Spade as one of the most intriguing and talented designers to date.  She has a very unique skill for transforming the simplistic and ordinary into chic, extraordinary, yet very livable spaces.  Her designs are always fresh and new, lively and exciting, and when I came across this playful,  and whimsical children's bath, I could barely contain my own excitement.

It was featured in House & Garden's October 2004 issue, and it simply blew me away.  Kate took a classic silhouette, and transformed it into something fresh and new.  The silhouettes were all hand stenciled by one of Kate's artist friends, and is hands down the highlight of the entire room. To offset the black and white, Kate added in some accent colors in the green stripe of the shower curtain and yellow bath accessories.  Oh, if only this was a wallpaper!  I would be buying it today!
